5 oil marketers barred supplying aviation fuel

According to a recent report, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has barred 5 oil marketers from supplying aviation fuel to airlines in the country. The decision was taken due to their failure to meet the required standards and quality specifications for aviation fuel.

The 5 oil marketers affected by the ban are:

  1. MRS Oil and Gas Company Limited
  2. Total Nigeria Plc
  3. Oando Marketing Limited
  4. Conoil Plc
  5. Forte Oil Plc

The NCAA has directed these oil marketers to stop supplying aviation fuel to airlines until they meet the required standards and quality specifications. The authority has also warned that any airline that continues to use fuel from these marketers will be held responsible for any damage or harm caused to their aircraft or passengers.

The ban is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of air travel in Nigeria, as well as protecting the interests of airlines and passengers. The NCAA has emphasized that it will not compromise on the quality of aviation fuel supplied to airlines, and will continue to monitor and regulate the supply of fuel to ensure compliance with international standards.

It is worth noting that the ban is not a permanent one, and the affected oil marketers can appeal the decision and work with the NCAA to rectify the issues and meet the required standards.
