2018 utme new accreditation and requirements
Here are the new accreditation and requirements for the 2018 UTME:
Accreditation:
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has accredited 1,652 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country for the 2018 UTME.
Requirements:
To be eligible to sit for the 2018 UTME, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Candidates must be at least 16 years old by December 31st, 2018.
- O'Level Results: Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two (2) sittings.
- UTME Subjects: Candidates must choose three (3) subjects from the list of subjects offered by JAMB.
- UTME Score: Candidates must score a minimum of 180 in the UTME to be eligible for admission.
- Admission Requirements: Candidates must meet the admission requirements of their chosen institution and course.
New Requirements:
- Biometric Data Capture: Candidates will be required to provide biometric data, including fingerprints and facial recognition, during the registration process.
- Online Registration: Candidates will register online and upload their scanned documents, including passport photograph, O'Level results, and other required documents.
- Payment: Candidates will pay a non-refundable fee of N7,500 for the UTME registration.
- Mock Test: JAMB will conduct a mock test for candidates who register for the UTME, to help them familiarize themselves with the CBT format.
- Admission Processing: Institutions will process admission based on the UTME scores, O'Level results, and other admission requirements.
Important Dates:
- Registration Period: April 10th, 2018, to May 31st, 2018.
- Mock Test: May 1st, 2018, to May 31st, 2018.
- UTME Examination: June 16th, 2018, to June 26th, 2018.
- Admission Processing: July 2018 to October 2018.
