TRAVIS BARKER BREAKS SILENCE SINCE HOSPITALISATION
Travis Barker gave an update on his condition to fans, writing on his Instagram: “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since. During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.”
Barker added, “I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better.”
Pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas. Mild cases typically resolve within days with rest, while more severe cases may require surgery. Some of the common symptoms include intense stomach pain as well as vomitting.
Following his hospitalisation, Barker’s teenage daughter has been taking to social media to ask that fans keep him in their prayers and thoughts.
