Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, the owner of Zapphire Events, has revealed that her late sister, Tosyn Bucknor, died “due to complications” from sickle cell anaemia.
Funke made this known in a statement posted on her Instagram page on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
In her emotional post, the top event planner said Tosyn was not just her sister but her best friend.
Bucknor-Obruthe wrote: “My heart is heavy… but in all things, we give thanks to God. My darling sister and besto Tosyn passed away last night due to complications from sickle cell.”
Confirming the news of her death, Wale Adigun, a former colleague at Top Radio took to his Twitter handle with the caption “so devastating.”
He wrote; “So full of life, excitement, and always willing to lend a helping hand. This is so devastating!! Rest on Voice of Lagos. Rest on Tosyn Bucknor.
Tosyn, an on-air-personality with Inspiration FM, was found dead by husband, Aurelien Boyer when he arrived home from work on Monday night.
The On-Air Personality died at the age of 37.
