Tatiana Maslany would work for a few months at a time before going back to Regina to finish her education. She remarked, “It wasn’t an effortless change. I felt somewhat alien to it, really outside of both encounters.”

Upon high school completion, she proceeded to the University of Regina where she studied German, Ancient Greek, Philosophy, Psychology, and film. However, she dropped out after staying for a half-semester. Then, she travelled and performed in theatre for a while before settling in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 20.
