On August 8, 2016, Manchester United officially announced the signing of French midfielder Paul Pogba from Juventus for a world-record transfer fee of £89 million (€105 million).

Manchester United signs Paul Pogba
Manchester United is delighted to announce that Paul Pogba has completed his transfer from Juventus.
The 23-year-old French midfielder has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option to extend for a further year.
Pogba, who has been capped 31 times by France, joins United from Juventus, where he won four consecutive Serie A titles and the Coppa Italia.
Manager José Mourinho said: "Paul is one of the most talented young players in the world and I am thrilled to welcome him to the club.
"He has the ability and the vision to control the tempo of the game and he will be a fantastic addition to our squad.

Pogba's transfer was a major coup for Manchester United, and he went on to become a key player for the club, helping them win the Europa League, League Cup, and the FA Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
