Nysc insists corp members wont be withdrawn from plateau
According to recent reports, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has stated that corps members serving in Plateau State will not be withdrawn from the state despite the ongoing security challenges.
The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, made this announcement during a visit to the state on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Ibrahim emphasized that the safety and security of corps members are of utmost importance to the organization, and that necessary measures are being taken to ensure their well-being.
The NYSC DG also commended the efforts of the Plateau State Government and security agencies in maintaining peace and stability in the state, and expressed confidence that the situation will continue to improve.
It's worth noting that the decision to withdraw corps members from a state is typically made by the NYSC in consultation with the state government and other relevant authorities, and is usually done to ensure the safety and security of the corps members.
In this case, the NYSC's decision to keep corps members in Plateau State suggests that the organization believes the situation is under control and that the corps members can continue to serve safely.
What do you think about this development? Do you think the NYSC made the right decision?
