Nigerians are reacting to the announcement this evening that Ag President Osinbajo has called on the IGP to do an overhaul of SARS. This is seen as an outcome of the ongoing #endsars campaign. The youth are happy about it, one said, “We’ve won, it’s a victory for the masses. Some wars can actually be won through social media, for many of us, #EndSARS was a war. The unrelenting effort put in by citizens to subjugate the malicious act of the men in black should be commended”…while another tweeted “Sir be Blessed, u remain a huge inspiration on us & the reason why youths should have fate in our Nation. We are proud of ur efforts to seeing #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG a reality. Thanks to our acting president #osinbajo for d courage to do d needful.”
Nigerians are happy about what the Acting President did, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has directed the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to immediately overhaul the management and activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS)… Another one was showering praises to @segalink, @RuggedyBaba and all Nigerians who supported the call for #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG… Thanks to the Ag. President @ProfOsinbajo for listening to Nigerians… Another one suggested the President take additional 10 days vacay and stay put in London so Acting President Yemi Osinbajo can continue.
Nigerians are extremely happy and grateful to the acting president for what he has done, as he has ordered the overhaul of SARS… One said somebody finally listened to the masses, while another said that Osinbajo is the next candidate for the presidency. Another person said that he wishes Osinbajo was the president “instead of the old cargo that is there doing nothing but to tour the world…”
It’s about reports that the senator spent Kano state’s $1million in Ukraine…Some are disappointed in him because they believed him to be a saint like he claimed to be… One tweet even claimed that Kwankwaso is his role model, and now he has lost faith in people like him and he can never trust anyone again.
People are tweeting about the IGP, Ibrahim Idris, that he should take Osinbajo’s order seriously, as the person in charge currently will not play with him as PMB did when he played with the order to relocate to Benue. Some of them are victims of Police unlawful treatments & criminality and they claimed they won’t blink with this order as well.
