Liverpool have joined Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United in the race to sign Bordeaux’s £40m-rated attacker Malcom this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Malcom has developed into one of the hottest players in Europe since joining Bordeaux from Corinthians in 2016 and he’s provided 10 goals and 7 assists in Ligue 1 so far this season.
The 21-year-old’s performances have caught the eye of several top clubs and Malcom was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League during the January transfer window but a move failed to materialise.
Speculation is growing ahead of the summer with the Daily Mail claiming that Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to renew their interest after failing to land Malcom in the winter window while Man Utd have also discussed a swoop for the winger.
However, it looks like the trio will face further competition as the newspaper says Liverpool have now joined the race to sign the Brazilian Under-23 international this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has one of the deadliest attacks in Europe at his disposal with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino firing Liverpool to the Champions League final this season.
But Klopp knows he needs to add more depth if the Merseysiders are to compete on all fronts next year and Liverpool still need to sign a replacement for Philippe Coutinho following his move to Barcelona.
It looks like Klopp has drawn-up his shortlist as the Daily Mail claim Malcom has emerged as a prime target along with Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey and Christian Pulisic of Borussia Dortmund.
The report says Bordeaux are wanting around £40m for the South American attacker and it looks like Liverpool are ready to battle it out with Arsenal, Spurs and United over a deal this summer.
