News reaching our newsroom has it that the embattled finance minister of Nigeria, Kemi Adeosun, has resigned her appointment from the Buhari’s administration.

According to reports, Mrs Adeosun tendered her resignation today, although eye-witnesses claimed she was still sighted at the finance ministry today.

Mrs Kemi Adeosun has come under intense pressures from civil society organisations over alleged forgery of her NYSC certificate which became public exactly 69 days ago. Her eventual resignation is not unconnected with the serious credibility issues the forgery allegation has raised against the Buhari government, which has anticorruption as part of bragging rights, particularly as the 2019 elections gather pace.
