The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the registration form for the 2019 Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has been moved from December 2018 to January 2019.
This was disclosed by the Board’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
According to the spokesman, the extension follows the Federal Government reduction in the registration fee with effect from January 2019.
In his words; “The attention of the board had been drawn to information going around in some social media that JAMB has already begun the sale of forms for UTME.
“We are not commencing the sale of the forms until January 2019 and the window is opened for a period of six weeks,” he added.
He, however, warned prospective candidate to note this period in order not to fall prey to fraudsters.
The JAMB spokesman assured all candidates that the board would make adequate publicity towards the sale of UTME adding the board would comply with the directive on the reduction of the registration cost.
