Kaizer Chiefs fans will be feeling highly anxious ahead of the new season!

The club have gotten rid of many of the players deemed surplus to requirements following the close of last season.

And while a number of exciting signings have been made, there’s still a few deals Amakhosi fans are desperate to see completed ahead of next season.

One such signing is that of 22-year-old attacker Kobamelo Kodisang, but hope is indeed fading away.

According to reports SC Braga have triggered their option to extend South African youth star Kobamelo Kodisang’s contract at the Portuguese side.

Kodisang has been identified as a key transfer target in the revamped Amakhosi side but a deal looks highly unlikely now.

While a loan deal can’t be ruled out, it looks almost impossible for Kaizer Chiefs to permanently sign Kodisang anytime soon.

According to prior reports, the player’s agent confirmed a fee could not be agreed upon by Braga and the Amakhosi over a permanent move.

“Braga have exercised their option on Kobamelo, that’s a further two seasons.” the Kaizer Chiefs target’s agent told SABCSport last month.

“They’ve informed us that their intention is to loan him out to a second division team.

“Which we are not happy with. We are not going to accept nor does the player want to do that,”

In other trending news, Kaizer Chiefs fans were left highly confused after a mystery striker was spotted in pictures posted by the club’s social media team.

The Glamour Boys partook in a friendly clash against Marumo Gallants over the weekend. While Chiefs were on the losing side, the images from the clash sparked a massive debate.

An unknown lanky number seven was spotted in Kaizer Chiefs Colours during the clash! But who exactly is he?

According to reports Burundian forward Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana is on trial at the Glamour Boys.

The well traveled striker is hoping to impress at Chiefs and an insider has since provided more information on the striker!

Who is Chiefs’ mystery new ‘seven’?

“The boy is a good towering striker who I think has the ability to make the cut at Kaizer Chiefs,” Burundian legend Aime Kitenge told KickOff.

“He is a goal poacher of note. A proper finisher. He is still young, and the plus is that his height makes him effective in the air when crosses are coming in.

“Once he can adjust to what Chiefs need then he will deliver the goals for them. I have no doubt in the boy’s abilities but rather a case of him adjusting to the environment here.

“But luckily he has been in Europe so this will not be a new experience at Kaizer Chiefs.

“He can make it if he stays calm and composed. The challenge with trials is that it is a new environment that you should know how to handle,”
