Members of the House of Representatives have maintained that ex-president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, is still the ‘father of corruption’ in Nigeria.
This was said by the Chairman of the committee on Media and Public Affairs in response to the latest attack on the House of Assembly by the former president.
Namdas Abdulrazak, the chairman, released a statement noting that its response to the perceived attack had already been “fully captured” in a position the House took in 2016, where it stated that the former President remained the “grandfather of corruption in Nigeria.”
In his words, “We won’t respond to any corruption allegations by Obasanjo against us anymore. We have replied him enough and our position remains what we said earlier. It has not changed.I refer you to our comprehensive position on Obasanjo in 2016. That is still our position.”
