It’s been reported for quite some time that Pirates have been on the lookout for a goalkeeper to bolster their ranks, with links to Melusi Buthelezi from TS Galaxy ultimately amounting to little.

According to Soccer Laduma, Pirates are now closing in on Lloyd Kazapua from Chippa United, and apparently he even left for Gauteng on Wednesday ahead of a possible move to the Buccaneers.

With the local football season already well underway, it remains to be seen what big moves could be made as the extended transfer window gets set to slam shut on Thursday.
