Bayern Munich have shown interest in signing Kingsley Coman from Juventus for a long stay at the Allianz Arena.
Coman, 20, is currently in the second season of a two-year loan deal with the German champions and hopes to sign a contract till 2020.
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said of him: “He is a player with huge potential. We’re convinced that he will be of great help to us in the coming years.”
Bayern Coach Carlo Ancelotti assured in November that he was interested in signing Coman for a long stay at Bayern having finalized plans to seal the deal for €21 million at the end of the season.
“Coman’s future is with Bayern,” Ancellotti said. “We are all counting a lot on him. There’s no chance of him returning to Juve.”
Coman had shown interest to remain at Bayern last summer and this is clear by his words: “I would like to stay. When I arrived, it was my intention to stay for a longer period. Bayern Munich are one of the best teams in the world and I want to play here for many, many years.”
Coman has won the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal and also reached the Champions League semifinals under the supervision of Pep Guardiola.
But he has the chance of winning only the Bundesliga this season having lost their matches against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and DFB Pokal.
While at Paris Saint Germain and Juventus, Coman won league titles and was part of the France team, which finished as runners-up at Euro 2016.
