The Advisory Board of Pavilion Afrique/African Film Forum has appointed National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB)’s Executive Director, Alhaji Adebayo Thomas as one of its board members.
This was made known by the Director of Operations, Prudence Kolongin France on Sunday, December 2, 2018.
Speaking on the appointment, Prudence said; “Thomas has strongly put Nollywood in the map of the world film market which can no longer be ignored in the West. He has championed the need for Africa’s content harmonization and exposure.
He further added that Adebayo was chosen among the 25 names considered for his effort in the film industry within a very short period.
“We, therefore, congratulate Nigeria for this and looking forward to working with Mr. Thomas and his team at NFVCB in the drive for a more viable African market and development,” he said.
The rationale behind Pavilion Afriques is to create a unique avenue for movie trade and promotion that at the same time outlines the diversity of African cinema to film professionals from across the globe.
