Ex-FIFA President, Sepp Blatter will know on Monday, the outcome of his appeal over the suspected $2million he paid to former UEFA boss, Michel Platini in 2011.
Sepp Blatter who was banned from Football for 6 years following fraudulent activities, appealed against the ban which was later reviewed and reduced to about 6 years by the FIFA appeals Panel. Michel Platini, also convicted had his ban reduced by another 2 years by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
A statement issued by CAS stated “the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), will issue its decision in the arbitration procedure between Joseph S Blatter and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) at 3:00pm, Swiss time on Monday, December 5th, 2016.”
Blatter served as FIFA’s President for 17 years from 1998-2015.
