An unidentified man was lynched by an angry mob in Mushin, Lagos State, over the weekend.
The accused, who is said to be a middle-aged was accused of stealing a galaxy phone from a house in Mushin. Rather than wait for the police to arrive, the mob killed and set him ablaze as all his pleas fell on deaf ears.
The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Olarinde Famous -Cole who confirmed the incident and the arrest of one Isiaka Kolawole, who is being interrogated at the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department. SCIID, Yaba, said:
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was accused of stealing a galaxy phone from a house, in Mushin. An angry mob lynched him.”
