I'm sorry that I hurt people.. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again.

Here are some reactions on Twitter;
Honestly, this world is full of wet wipes. People moaning about Kevin Hart presenting the oscars because he made an “anti gay” joke years ago.
Behave yourselves.
The joke was made when people weren’t as sensitive as they are today, and even so, it was a joke. Kinell. 🙈— Stephen Milton (@StevieJMilton) December 7, 2018
No not saying that at all, if you re-read you’ll see that’s not what I said at all. Just saying that you are blaming the people that he brought down for bringing him down. Appreciate it was years ago but you can’t blame the people he’s offended for being upset, that’s up to them

Kevin Hart’s ego made him miss out on “the opportunity of a lifetime for him as a comedian.” His words!
All he had to do was apologize and yet

Just to be clear to all the comedy fans who think people are being too sensitive around this Kevin Hart thing: there’s a difference between being offended by a joke and knowing that joke is perpetuating violence against a community, specifically gay youth. Learn the difference.

The Academy gave Kevin Hart an ultimatum: apologize for the tweets or they'd have to find a new host for the Oscars.
Kevin Hart declined to apologize, saying he was tired of addressing the same issue: https://t.co/AXpPqNHB3p pic.twitter.com/9sLlVYwIHM

Majority of the world thinks this is one of the funniest comedy specials of all time (it is) but Kevin Hart was forced to quit because of some 10 year old jokes? Stop holding comedians to higher standards than the President. pic.twitter.com/j0vEv0ayWE

Kevin Hart has decided to quit being the Oscars host on the academy giving him ultimatums to apologize over homophobic tweets he made like 7 years back. See something about homosexuals is their insensitivity, I mean brother can take a 12 inch dick but not a joke? FOH!

The Kevin Hart situation is so stupid. Apparently you are allowed to make jokes about all groups of people except gay people lol. That doesn’t sound like equality to me.
