Tag ac milan considered de boer as new coach galliani

A blast from the past!

According to various sources, including ESPN and Goal.com, in 2010, AC Milan's then-CEO Adriano Galliani considered Frank de Boer as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, who had just left the club.

At the time, de Boer was the manager of Ajax, where he had achieved significant success, winning three Eredivisie titles and the KNVB Cup. Galliani reportedly had a high regard for de Boer's tactical acumen and his ability to develop young players.

However, the move ultimately didn't come to fruition, as de Boer decided to stay at Ajax and continue his successful tenure with the club. Instead, AC Milan appointed Massimiliano Allegri as their new coach, who went on to win two Serie A titles and the Supercoppa Italiana during his four-year stint with the club.

It's interesting to think about how things might have turned out if de Boer had taken the reins at AC Milan back in 2010!
