There are several shortcuts to create a new cell in Excel:

  1. Press Enter: When you're in a cell, pressing Enter will move the cursor to the cell below it, creating a new cell.
  2. Press Shift + Enter: This will create a new cell to the right of the current cell.
  3. Press Ctrl + Shift + → (or Ctrl + Shift + → on a Mac): This will insert a new column to the right of the current column.
  4. Press Ctrl + Shift + ↓ (or Ctrl + Shift + ↓ on a Mac): This will insert a new row below the current row.
  5. Right-click and select "Insert": You can also right-click on the cell and select "Insert" to create a new cell.
  6. Use the "Insert" button on the Home tab: You can also use the "Insert" button on the Home tab of the ribbon to create a new cell.
