Chrome open tab in new window

A simple yet useful trick!

To open a new tab in a new window in Google Chrome, you can use the following methods:

Method 1: Keyboard Shortcut

  1. Press Ctrl + N (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + N (Mac) to open a new window.
  2. In the new window, navigate to the URL you want to open in a new tab.
  3. Press Ctrl + T (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + T (Mac) to open a new tab in the new window.

Method 2: Right-Click Menu

  1. Right-click on the Chrome browser icon in the taskbar (Windows) or dock (Mac).
  2. Select "New Window" from the context menu.
  3. In the new window, navigate to the URL you want to open in a new tab.
  4. Right-click on the URL bar and select "New Tab" to open a new tab in the new window.

Method 3: Browser Settings

  1. Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome browser window.
  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Scroll down to the "On startup" section.
  4. Click on "Open a specific page or set of pages" and select "New tab" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click "Apply" to save the changes.

Now, whenever you open a new tab, it will open in a new window instead of a new tab in the same window.
